A small section of the much larger coastal stretch of the Sanur Beach in Denpasar, Karang Beach is known as “coral” in the local language of the region. Home to slightly coarse but still fine white sands, the beach is named after the vibrant coral reefs that emerge here during low tide. Karang Beach is located in the South Denpasar District of Denpasar, around 18 kilometres from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. To get to the beach, you can avail a bemo, taxi, scooter or even a bus ride, which will typically take anywhere between 30 to 60 minutes.

The best time to visit Karang Beach is between April and October, when the island experiences its dry season. The temperatures during these months vary between 25 to 32 degrees Celsius, with little to no rainfall, thereby making it perfect to spend a day at this beach.
