Sariyatal, also known locally as Sarita Tal, is a small yet picturesque lake located around 8 km from Nainital. Fringed by tall pine and oak trees, this lake features glassy green waters that beautifully reflect the surrounding forested hills. A quiet walking path loops around the lake, making it ideal for photography, paddle boating, or a lazy picnic under the trees. 

Just beside the lake is the Himalayan Botanical Garden, which includes an orchidarium, herbarium, butterfly park, fernery, and a small man-made waterfall.
