St. Mark’S Basilica

Over time, the Basilica went through many changes, mostly in terms of its decoration. The main facade now features sculptures and mosaics from the 17th and 18th centuries. It also includes bas-reliefs of professions and zodiac signs on the central gate. Marbles from the East, figures made of porphyry from the Tetrarchs, and St. Mark's horses.
