Stiftsgarden, Trondheim

Stiftsgarden was built as a private home by the wealthy Christine Scholar in 1778 which was used by the royal family for their residence. This place happens to be one of the largest wooden buildings in Europe with more than 100 rooms. It has a brilliant 18th century Baroque architecture.

When the royal family members visited Trondheim, they used to spend time here. The mansion has also served their royal guests since 1800. During your visit, you must take time to tour around its opulent rooms assisted by a guide.
