By Train - Taman Negara national park is accessible by train. The Jerantut railway station is nearest to the park and the KTM Intercity as well as the Express trains would take you to your destination.

By Bus - Tourists can also access this place by taking a bus to Jerantut and Kuala Tembeling Jetty, however, they will then have to take a river boat ride to Kuala Tahan from here. This all together, will be a journey of 7-8 hours, hence it isn’t highly recommended.

Taman Negara is open 365 days a year. However, it is recommended that you visit the national park in the spring months of March and April when it drizzles. Tips to visit Taman Negara

• It is recommended to visit in the spring months of March and April as the inhabitants would be out of their shelters for the mating season.
• Make sure to wear full sleeved clothes and full pants in order to avoid mosquito and insect bites. Bring insect repellent creams for the same purpose. 
• When hiking to the waterfalls, wear swimsuits and flip flops instead of sneakers because you will most certainly get soaked in water. You are also advised to bring a spare set of clothes.
