Located in Tippi, the Orchid Research Centre sits on the west bank of the Kameng River in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng District. Surrounded by lush hills and tropical vegetation, the centre spans 10 hectares of flat land and offers several sightseeing and learning experiences, making it a must-visit place in Arunachal Pradesh. 

The centre is known for its impressive collection of orchid species and is home to a tissue culture laboratory, museum, herbarium, and well-maintained gardens. Its main highlight is the orchid greenhouse, featuring a fibreglass roof, a central pond with a fountain, and an exhibition gallery. Inside, visitors can see around 1,000 vibrant orchids displayed in pots and hanging baskets. Rare species and hybrids from orchid groups like Paphiopedilum, Dendrobium, Cattleya, and Vanda make the visit even more special for nature lovers.
