Villa Della Regina, Turin

About Villa Della Regina

This "Vineyard" is literally steps away from the action in downtown Torino. The Villa of the Queen has been made public again following meticulous renovation. It is located in the middle of Italianate gardens that serve as a dramatic backdrop to the city and feature newly productive agricultural fields, as well as pavilions, fountains, and other such features. Visit the old mansion and it's attractions with our Europe Travel packages.

The deliciosa house of duchesses, princesses, and queens of the House of Savoy, it was begun as the royal hillside vineyard of Cardinal Maurice and Princess Ludovica and remained in use by the royal family until the 19th century. From the magnificent main salon, you can enter the Royal Apartments, each of which is decorated and furnished in keeping with the vogue for costly arts and exoticism that swept European courts in the 18th century.
