At 2,396 meters, Yusmarg is a serene meadow in the Budgam district, roughly 50 kilometres from Srinagar. The "Meadow of Christ" got its name because some people think Jesus Christ travelled through it. But according to local legend, it was once known as "Roosmarg," which translates to "Meadow of Musk Deer."

You can walk or ride a pony down to the river for a picnic, or you can visit the nearby Doodh Ganga, which is about 2 km away.
