The Gunarsa Museum, which is owned by the Nyoman Gunarsa is one of the Bali’s most famous modern art museum. It is a great collection of some of the best traditional Indonesian art and other objects of traditional importance.

This is one of the least visited places in Bali and hence, one of the calmest places if you want to be way from the hustle and bustle of overcrowded tourist places. Located at around 15 km from the beachside, this place will give you a nice humid air to breathe from and being one of the nine important directional temples in Bali, it also holds a lot of religious significance.

River Unda is one of the most major rivers in Bali and travelling over this beautiful river from the large bridge is one of the most mesmerizing experiences. The sparkling waters of this river will give you a calming feeling and also some of the best pictures of the trip against this beautiful backdrop.

This is the original palace of the royal family of Klungkung and the most notable aspect of this is the beautifully and intricately painted ceiling of the Kerta Gosa Pavilion. This is the only surviving example of the Wayang art in Bali and though most of this palace is destroyed due to Dutch invasion, it still manages to maintain its architectural charm.

This ancient monument is a memory of the 200 Balinese of the Klungdung family who died while fighting the Ditch invasion in the year 1908. This is a large statue locate in the center of cross-roads which symbolize the guards of the four cardinal points.

This ancient village of Kamasan is a center of the classical style of painting of Wayang. A lot of people visit here to appreciate the splendid form of art. You will be truly mesmerized to see the way this art is portrayed and preserved. The style of painting portrayed is local to the place and hence, you will get a hand of the local culture and concepts over here.

It cannot be possible that an Indonesian destination does not have splendid beaches. There are a lot of hidden beaches near Klungkung regency which will leave you awestruck with their beauty. The long stretching beaches against the backdrop of Island Mountains is a really magical and breathtaking sight to witness.

This is one of the destinations in Bali which really calm and serene and is not overcrowded by tourists. Hence, you will get to experience sheer calmness, without having to deal with the hustle and bustle of overcrowded tourist places. If you are a solo traveler, this is one of the destinations which you should indeed have on your bucket list.

Also, the culture followed by the locals here is still very authentic and away from development. Hence, you will be able to see the real rural side of Indonesia, which is not possible at any other destinations over here.
