Srinagar is well-connected by road to major cities like Delhi, Jammu, and Chandigarh. The NH44 highway links Srinagar to Jammu, from where you can drive or take a bus. Regular JKSRTC buses and private taxis operate between Jammu and Srinagar, offering a scenic journey through the Pir Panjal mountains. 

The nearest major railway station to Srinagar is Jammu Tawi, located around 247 kilometres away. It is well-connected to major cities via trains like Jammu Mail and Jammu Tawi Express. From Jammu, you can travel to Banihal by train, taxi, or bus. At Banihal, a local train runs directly to Srinagar Railway Station, providing a more convenient option. The shrine's architecture blends Mughal and Kashmiri styles, featuring a striking domed structure, which is unique as most mosques in Kashmir have pagoda-style roofs. Situated on the northern shore of Dal Lake, its reflection in the water creates a mesmerising sight, especially during sunset.

Known as Asia's largest tulip garden, it blooms with over 1.5 million tulips of 73 varieties during spring. The garden is set against the backdrop of the Zabarwan mountain range. Every year, it hosts the annual Tulip Festival which draws tourists from across the globe to witness this magnificent floral display.

Also known as the “Palace of Fairies,” Pari Mahal is a historic monument perched on the Zabarwan mountain range overlooking Dal Lake. Built in the 17th century by Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Shah Jahan, it served as a library and an observatory for astrology and astronomy. The monument features beautiful terraced gardens and arched doorways that reflect classic Mughal architecture.
