Camping Near Chennai Overview

Location: Sri City. Near Chennai

Located just about 70 km from Chennai in a small town called Sri City, this camp is the best you can get of luxury camping. This camping near Chennai experience will help you in encountering lush green fields distant mountains, chirping birds, a large lake, a freshwater stream and the beauty of nature you will fall in love with. Come along with your friends and family members and create memories for a lifetime with this package.


Find yourself staying amidst a row of wonderful swiss tents set against the backdrop owning natural beauty. There are tents that are spacious and comfortable. To increase the coziness of the stay, the tents are provided with mattresses, pillows and blankets. Each tent is shared by two to three children. Tents overlook the starry sky and you can choose the tent you like. There are common washrooms available at the site. The washrooms are clean and hygienic.

This campsite has everything to make your weekend getaway wonderful. Add to that the perfection of adventure and you have yourself the ideal place to be where you would like to go every now and then. With comfortable stay and delicious meals, you can also enjoy adventurous activities like cycling, soothing experiences like bird spotting and nature pool dip or entertainment stuff like board games, badminton, cricket & beach volleyball, the campsite takes care of all of your needs here. You also get to enjoy backwater boating in a nearby lake. And with such a pristine environment, the experience of stargazing becomes the best thing to do after dinner.

Camping with Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast & Activities
Includes lunch on both days, dinner, and breakfast to be served at 1:30 PM, 8:00 PM, and 7:00 AM respectively. Enjoy activities and comfortable stay with this package.
Check-In Time: 3:30 PM
Check-Out Time: 2:00 PM

How To Reach:
This location is approximately 75 km away from the centre of Chennai. The location is motorable and one can reach the place by car or a taxi.

Camping Near Chennai Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival at Campsite | Stargazing

    1.30 PM: Leave Chennai around noon 

    3:30 PM: Arrive at the base location. On arrival, camp briefing will be done and after that, you are free to check into your tents. 

    4.00 PM: High tea will be served post which you can pick up your cycles and start exploring the nearby villages & mango orchards.

    7.00 PM Come back to the camp spot, Evening campfire will be set up after sundown followed by dinner (Veg / Non-Veg). Snuggle up into the comfort of your tent after dinner or just lie down and gaze at the vastness of the sky.

  • Day 2 - Cycling | Birdwatching | Check-out

    5.00 AM: Wake up early and head to a famous Bird sanctuary where you can spot a variety of migratory birds

    9.00 AM: Drive back to the camp spot and indulge in a light game of volleyball or take a dip in the nearby freshwater stream (seasonal) around the camp spot once you come back lunch will be served.

    2.00 PM: Finish lunch, hover around the camp spot for some time and go to Pulicat lake for a boat ride. Relax on an Island till dawn and head back to your respective cities.

We all got along with each other well, and the hospitality of the staff was great too. It was nice to find such a place as close as 50 kms from Chennai city, and we are planning to make this our usual city getaway spot.

    i love camping and this trip was one more addition to it. after we checked in out tents we went for boat ride in Pulicat lake and relaxed till next morning. day 2 we had amazing view of sun and birds chirping. we explored villages and bird sanctuary. overall experience was great booking with Thrillophilia.
