About Bali Zoo

Bali Zoo celebrates the richness of Indonesia's nature, exhibiting some of the rarest indigenous wildlife in the world. This one-of-a-kind zoological park is an excellent place to observe over 450 unique and exotic animals in a lush green, simulating atmosphere. Visit this zoo with our Bali vacation packages from India for an immersive experience, witnessing and interacting with the wildlife it cradles.

The very entrance of the zoo is flanked by a family of zoo lions. The trail leads to incredible glimpses of the world's rarest faunas, including White tigers, Sumatran tigers, Sumatran elephants, kangaroos, orangutans, sun bears, binturongs, and deers. In the midst of the tropical foliage, reptiles such as pythons, iguanas, green snakes, and turtles can be spotted.

The Bali Zoo offers an enthralling variety of special experiences. The Night Zoo, for example, lets one explore the zoo grounds in the dark, while Breakfast with Orangutan quite literally sets a table for your family and the friendly monkey. The Bali Zoo goes beyond its way to cater to its younger guests as well. The Jungle Splash Water Play is the on-site water amusement park at the zoo, allowing visitors to unwind in the water after a long day of touring in the sun. Pony Rides can be an excellent fun activity for children as well, while the Petting Zoo is a great way to interact with baby animals.

How To Reach Bali Zoo

Bali being an island town, can only be reached by air. The Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali is well connected to both domestic as well as international destinations via air routes.

Bali Zoo Essential Information

Places to dine at the Bali Zoo:

Just because you’re visiting the zoo shouldn’t compromise your dining experience. Here are some of the best luxury and standard dining options scattered across the Bali Zoo:

  • Wantilan Restaurant: Wantilan is the main restaurant at the Bali Zoo, with the menu featuring a variety of local main dishes, along with a few international options and refreshing drinks. The main attraction at the Wantilan is the open-air seating, which commands a 360 degree view of the entire zoo and promises a truly immersive experience.
  • Gayo Restaurant: Located just beside the Elephant trail, Gayo Restaurant promises fantastic, unobstructed views of these majestic creatures. The decor of the restaurant is inspired by the architecture of Angkor Wat, and strikes a brilliant contrast against its natural setting. The menu here features a range of Asian and Western Delicacies.
  • Snack Snack: Snack Snack is the in-house snack bar and cafe at the Bali Zoo. Like its counterparts, Snack Snack also features outdoor seating, although seats here are comparatively limited. The snack bar specializes in a variety of small bites and ice creams.
