Discover Bassi Fort Palace, a carefully restored 16th-century fort near Chittorgarh that is now a heritage hotel in the Vindhyachal foothills. Thakur Jaimal of the Sisodia dynasty, Maharana Pratap's cousin, built it to honour the bravery and legacy of the Chundawat clan, as many of their ancestors died defending Chittorgarh Fort.

Spanning multiple wings, tall arches, graceful domes, and ornate corridors, it showcases the grandeur of traditional Rajasthani architecture. It also has balconies (jharokhas) looking out over landscaped gardens, cascading terraces, and calm lakes where peacocks and hummingbirds can be seen at dawn. The holy Kalp Vraksha, a rare tree that grants wishes, adds to the spiritual lore.

Guests can pick from 15 elegantly decorated rooms and suites that are arranged around drawing rooms, dining halls, terraces and a pool with a swim-up bar. Modern luxuries and comfort combined with the Rajasthani heritage and grandeur, provide guests with an unforgettable experience.

Adventure seekers can go on jeep or horse safaris through the nearby Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary, about 7 km away. There, antelopes, panthers, langurs, deer, and migratory birds roam around lakes and dry deciduous forests. The cultural evenings with tribal dances, gala dinners, and tours of local villages make the experience more culturally immersive.
