Goecha La View Point 1 is the top mountain viewing spot in Sikkim, sitting way up at 4,940 meters high in Kanchenjunga National Park. This mountain pass is the closest regular people can get to see Kanchenjunga's huge south face. From here, trekkers see 14 tall mountain peaks that create one of the world's most beautiful mountain views. The walk to get here is just as good as the destination. Trekkers can go through forests full of red pandas and over 250 types of birds, cross clear mountain streams, and walk through flower fields. 

The forests are full of colorful rhododendron flowers that bloom in spring. What makes Goecha La really special is watching the sunrise, when the first sunlight hits the snowy peaks and turns them bright gold. This view is so beautiful that people say it inspired the mountain picture on India's money. It's a must-visit place for serious hikers and people who love taking mountain photos.
