Hiroshima Botanical Garden, Hiroshima

Also known as the Kure Maritime Museum, the Yamato Museum in Kure, Japan narrates the story of the rich naval history of Kure and its role in modern shipbuilding. Kure became a major naval base in 1889 and later built the famous battleship Yamato, which is the largest battleship ever made.

Shukkeien Garden is a daimyo garden with a history dating back to 400 years. Adorned with pretty bridges and paths, the atmosphere in this park is calm and serene. The park’s construction began in 1620 during the Edo period at the order of Asano Nagaakira. The garden was opened to the public in 1940 when the Asano family donated the garden to the Hiroshima prefecture.
