About Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

The sanctuary has over 820 floral species along with a variety of orchids, wild roses and others. The sanctuary is also the home to a variety of animals as well as around 250 species of birds. Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, rich in flora and fauna, is a nature lover's delight often included in Rajasthan trip packages for its biodiversity and scenic trails.


You can opt to explore the sprawling area of 288 sq km on foot or go on a jeep safari to explore the place. Those who are not satisfied with only a day outing may opt to extend their adventure by staying the night in a camp inside the sanctuary. Owing to its rocky nature, the sanctuary also offers other activities to its visitors such as trekking, rock climbing, rappelling, caving etc.

Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for its rich flora and you will be able to witness a plethora of plant species while exploring the place. You will also be able to look at Aravalli Red Spurfowl, Indian golden oriole, white-spotted fantail-flycatcher, Indian blackbird, woodpecker, tailorbird and more.
