Ōhori Park, Fukuoka

The word Ohori in Ohori park translates to Moat in Japanese. As the name suggests, the Ohori park oversees a park that oversees a pond near Fukuoka Castle. The history of this lake dates back to the time when Kuroda Nagamasa chose to integrate a pond after reclaiming a cove.

This park was built in 1926 and was modelled after the West Lake in China. This is a prominent choice of attraction for those who want to see what a traditional Japanese garden looks like.
