Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, Lachung

Seated right between the Chola range and Mangan Ridge, Tosar Lake climbs up to at an altitude of about 4,000 meters. The lake holds religious importance for the locals and is worshipped by them. The Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary is a high-elevation botanical refuge in the Yumthang Valley of North Sikkim, which lies 7 kilometers from Lachung.
