About Tamborine National Park

Tamborine National Park, on Tamborine Mountain is located at 560 metres above sea level. It is known for its rich biodiversity, natural beauty and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and the Gold Coast skyline. Situated in the Gold Coast Hinterlands, Tamborine is Queensland’s first national park and features rocky outcrops, basalt columns, cliffs, lush rainforests and numerous beautiful waterfalls.

Tambourine is the remnant of the volcanic flows that erupted from a volcano centred on Mount Warning in ancient time and the basalt columns are its evidence. Many Australia trip packages include a visit to Tamborine National Park, making it an essential stop for nature enthusiasts.

The park is also home to 85% of all fauna species and 65% of all floral species found in the Gold Coast area. Visit the park and choose from one of the 6 walking trails of the park. Feel excited as you see wildlife and birds like rare Albert’s lyrebird, brush turkeys, lorikeets, platypus, eastern whipbirds, and glowworms throughout the park. Apart from walks, the park also has horseback rides and picnic areas on offer.
