Tulja Bhavani Mata Temple

Built in the honor of Hindu Goddess Bhavani, this is one of the most popular tourist places to visit in Khandwa. Considered as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, Tulja Bhavani Mata Temple draws in thousands of devotees who come here to seek the blessings of Goddess Bhavani.

The goddess is worshipped all over India by different names and is also revered as the family deity across countless families in the country. There is also a popular legend that says that it was Tulja Bhavani who gifted the Bhavani sword that was used by Shivaji to defeat his enemies on the battlefield.
