Urban Winery

The winery was founded in 2008 by winemaker Alex Retief and the award-winning wines are sold under A.Retief labels. Apart from the A.Retief label, the winery also has a selection of the best wines, craft beers, spirits and charcuterie from around the state. Experience wine tasting at Urban Winery in Sydney, a unique stop featured in Australia packages.

While visiting the winery, you will be able to indulge in several different types of experiences. Choose between tasting 6 wines on your own or taking a winery tour first and then tasting the wines. Opt to learn the art of winemaking and create your own blend. If you visit during March, you can also participate in the grape harvest and wine stomping session.

• Embark on a self-guided wine flight and delight in tasting 6 varieties of wine while learning about them from the free self-guided wine-tasting book. 
• Opt to take a tour of the state-of-the-art wine-making facilities of the winery and learn the art of making wine before tasting some of the varieties.
• Indulge in the art of wine-making yourself and make your own blend while participating in a wine-blending session.
• Visit in March and be on time for the grape harvesting and stomping sessions, and have fun stomping grapes and tasting wine.
• Couple your wine with a platter of cheese, and charcuteries from the winery to enhance your wine tasting experience.
