The Egyptian Museum
Established by Auguste Mariette in 1857 and shifted to its current location in 1897, the Egyptian museum is one of the most fascinating places to see in Cairo. The sheer number of exhibits and collections will attract you to this place again and again. If you are a history lover, you will be in awe of the humongous display of artifacts. There are around 120,000 artifacts and it's exhibition depicts the glorious reign of ancient Egyptian. One of the most prominent wonders is the Tutankhamun Galleries. And it contains beautiful jewellery, pottery, mummies, sarcophagi and of course treasure of King Tutankhamen.
