Moratuwa is the biggest suburb of the Colombo city. Located on the South Western Coast of Sri Lanka, Moratuwa lies in close proximity to the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia. Lying 18 km South of the Colombo City Centre on the Galle Road or the Galle Colombo main highway. Surrounded by water on three sides, except towards the northern end of the city, Moratuwa is enveloped by Moratu river on the south, Bolgoda lake on the east and Indian Ocean on the west. Back then the building was the residence of the Dutch Governor, Thomas Van Rhee during his office term from 1692 to 1697.     Galle Face Green

    Galle Face is an urban park that is spread over an area of 5 hectare of land. With an ocean view, the park stretches for half a km along the coast in the heart of the business district and the financial district of Colombo.
