Sokha Beach, Sihanoukville
Sokha beach is a beach that lies in between Independence and Serendipity beaches in Sihanoukville. Highlights is that the sand here has got a fine texture. The sand is silicon- like and tickles one's barefoot as one takes a stroll here. The smallest eastern end of this beautiful beach is open to public and thus people can enjoy to the maximum there. The beach is neither crowded beach nor isolated. Hence people tend to have fun without having any apprehensions of being caught in crowds or being attacked in a deserted beach.

Sihanoukville, Cambodia.

Special feature -
The cleanliness of the beach is considered to be its best attribute, as most of the other beaches in Cambodia are filthy. Wat Banan Temple
This is a hill temple in the second largest city of Cambodia, dedicated to Lord Buddha. Though it is not clearly visible as to who constructed this temple and when it was constructed, there are enough evidences and architectural remnants to prove that this must have been built many centuries ago.

Highlights – Wat Banan Temple is located on top of a hill and it takes around 300 steep and difficult set of stairs to get to this temple. There are five huge towers in this Buddhist temple, out of which most of them are in a dilapidated state today. The vast growth of vegetation hides the view of these majestic towers from the road, so it is quite difficult to actually spot the temple. The carvings of the now-headless apsaras on the towers make the hard route worth every second.

Location
– Located at about 45minutes from the famous Mount Sampeau.

Timings – 7AM to 7PM.

Price – About USD2 for going up the hill.

Phnom Sampeau
This is also one of the famous yet fearful hill temples of Battambang, as it is located in the notorious location of Killing Fields. On top of the hill, one can find recently-constructed temples in traditional Khmer architectural styles, providing a panoramic view of Battambang city.

Highlights
– Visit the hill during the early morning or late evening hours so that you don’t feel the scorching heat of the sun. As you go up the hill, you will find a canyon filled with a canopy of greenery. The way that leads into the hill summit is filled with various macaques. In the evening, witness thousands of bats fly off from the caves at the base of the hill.

Location
- Found at a distance of about 12km towards the southwest of Battambang.

Timings – Open all through the day.

Price – Takes around USD2 or USD3 to get to the top of the hill.

Phnom Udong

Today, though the place has lost out to other cities in terms of development and tourism potential, there is still one major attraction here - Mount Udong. Today, there are couple of humps left of this mountain. The most attractive feature is that these humps have various stupas adorning them. Don’t miss out on the Phnom Preah Reach Throap (Hill of the Royal Fortune), Phnom Vihear Leu (small sanctuary), famous stupas of Damrei Sam Poan, Ang Doung and Mak Proum.
