How to Reach Andaman Group Tour Packages

Planning your arrival city is one of the most important aspects of booking an Andaman and Nicobar Islands group tour package. Best Time to Visit Andaman & Nicobar Islands

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands are a year-round destination, allowing travellers to plan an Andaman & Nicobar Islands group tour package in any season depending on their travel preferences. While the islands enjoy a tropical climate throughout the year, weather conditions vary across seasons and can influence activities such as beach hopping, water sports, sightseeing, and ferry operations.

Winter (October to February)

Winter is considered the best time to visit the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, with temperatures ranging between 22°C and 30°C. Pleasant weather, low humidity, calm seas, and clear skies make this season ideal for beach holidays, island hopping, scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking, and sightseeing. It is also the peak tourist season, so travellers can expect higher hotel tariffs and increased demand for flights and ferry tickets. Bookings are recommended, especially during Christmas, New Year, and long weekends.

Summer (March to May)

Summer experiences temperatures ranging from 24°C to 34°C, with warm sunny days that are perfect for water-based activities and beach excursions. The sea generally remains calm, offering excellent visibility for scuba diving, snorkelling, and glass-bottom boat rides around Havelock and Neil Island. Although afternoons can be hot and humid, mornings and evenings remain comfortable for sightseeing. Travellers can also find comparatively better deals on hotels before the peak monsoon season begins.

Monsoon (June to September)

The monsoon season brings moderate to heavy rainfall, with temperatures ranging between 24°C and 30°C. The islands become lush and scenic, making this period suitable for travellers looking for peaceful holidays and budget-friendly packages. However, rough sea conditions may occasionally affect ferry schedules, water sports, and island transfers. Outdoor activities can also be interrupted by rainfall, so travellers should keep flexible itineraries while planning a visit during these months.

Top Places to Visit during an Andaman group tour package

Here are some of the best places to visit on the Andaman Nicobar tour package.

  • Havelock Island: Havelock Island remains one of the biggest highlights of all the Andaman and Nicobar Islands group tour packages. Radhanagar Beach here is known for its wide shoreline, cleaner beach stretches, and calmer evening atmosphere. Many group travellers spend time here for beach walks, swimming, and sunset views after ferry transfers. Elephant Beach on the island also attracts visitors for water sports and day excursions. One thing travellers usually appreciate is that Havelock balances activity-based experiences with slower beach stays.
  • Neil Island: Neil Island is preferred by travellers looking for shorter travel distances and a quieter environment compared to Havelock. Bharatpur Beach is commonly visited for boating and water activities, while Laxmanpur Beach attracts visitors for sunset views. The relaxed pace here works well for Andaman tour packages for families and mixed-age travel groups.
  • Cellular Jail: Cellular Jail in Port Blair remains one of the most historically important attractions covered in Andaman group tours. The jail gives travellers insight into India’s freedom struggle and the lives of political prisoners during British rule. Many visitors attend the evening light and sound show because it explains the history in a more engaging format. The structure itself includes multiple prison wings and viewing corridors that can be explored during the day. Early evening visits usually feel more comfortable because the weather stays comparatively cooler.
  • North Bay Island: North Bay Island is one of the most common sightseeing stops included in group tours. The island is known for its coral viewing experiences, clear waters, and activity options suitable for beginners. Ferry rides to North Bay also offer scenic coastal views around Port Blair. Many travellers prefer visiting during the morning because the water visibility remains better. The island is often combined with Ross Island as part of a full-day excursion.
  • Ross Island: Ross Island attracts visitors interested in colonial history and relaxed sightseeing. The island still has ruins of old administrative buildings, churches, and colonial structures from the British era. Walking trails here pass through open green areas where deer and peacocks are commonly spotted. Many group travellers and couples combine Ross Island with North Bay Island during the same day for their Andaman honeymoon packages or group tour.
  • Baratang Island: Baratang Island is usually included in longer Andaman group tour packages because of its limestone caves and mangrove boat rides. Reaching the island involves a road journey from Port Blair followed by ferry crossings through protected forest areas. Travellers usually start early in the morning because convoy movement timings are fixed on this route.
  • Chidiya Tapu: Chidiya Tapu is commonly visited for sunset views and quieter coastal surroundings near Port Blair. The route to Chidiya Tapu passes through forest stretches and smaller local settlements, making the drive one of the most enjoyable in all Andaman and Nicobar Islands group tour packages. Many travellers spend time here during the late afternoon because the atmosphere remains less crowded compared to central Port Blair areas.

Best Things to Do During Andaman Group Tours

Here are some of the best things to do in the Andaman tour package.

  • Scuba Diving: Scuba diving remains one of the most booked experiences during Andaman group tours. Havelock Island has several beginner-friendly dive sites where instructors provide short training sessions before the dive.
  • Sea Walking: Sea walking is a popular activity among travellers who want to explore marine life without scuba diving. The experience usually takes place at North Bay Island or Elephant Beach under trained supervision.
  • Sea Kayaking: Sea kayaking through mangrove forests has become increasingly popular among smaller travel groups and couples. Most kayaking experiences operate during sunrise or sunset hours when the water stays calmer and weather conditions remain more comfortable.
  • Glass-bottom boat ride: Glass-bottom boating works well for families, elderly travellers, and non-swimmers who still want to explore marine life. North Bay Island and Elephant Beach are among the most common locations for this experience.
  • Island Hopping: Island hopping remains one of the main highlights of Andaman and Nicobar Islands group tour packages. Travellers move between Port Blair, Havelock Island, and Neil Island using ferry services planned within the itinerary. One thing travellers usually appreciate is that each island offers a slightly different atmosphere and pace.
