Hawa Beach, Kovalam

Samudra beach is the Jewel in the already heavily ornate crown of Kovalam. Regarded as the best places to visit in Kovalam separated from the other beaches by fissures. Massive crowds horde the beach, yet it is one spot for complete peace and serenity. It is a paradise for couples and lovers who want to be left alone. The horizon gives you amazing sunset views and silhouettes of wooden ships voyaging their way to business.

Located in the Vizhinjam village this is an 18th-century cave temple which has unfinished sculptures of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. The rock-cut cave temple is one of the best places to visit in Kovalam and now comes under the supervision of the archaeological survey of India. The temple is very near the Kovalam beach and is located at a distance of 17 kms from Trivandrum. This is also one of the smallest rock shrines in the entire south of India.

Neyyar Dam is one of the top attractions in Kerala's Western Ghats, close to Kovalam. It was built in 1958 and stretches across the Neyyar River. The Dam also acts as a source of irrigation and drinking water for the nearby villages. Additionally, it is also a peaceful spot where people go to enjoy nature and relax. It is surrounded by green hills and forests, making it a perfect place for picnics and boat rides. The calm water of the Dam is excellent for a quiet boat trip, offering lovely views all around.
