Kharmour Wildlife Sanctuary

Established in the year 1983, the Kharmour Wildlife Sanctuary is also known as Sailana Bird Sanctuary as it houses some of the most exotic bird species. Spread over an impressive area of 13 sq. km, the wildlife sanctuary is named after “Kharmour”, a rare, migratory bird species. 

Visit the sanctuary between the months of July and September to feel close to nature as the thick forest enchants you with its lush greenery. Nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the sanctuary, nestled in the lap of nature, is also popular as the breeding ground of Lesser Florican in India.
