National War Memorial

The National War Memorial in Delhi, inaugurated in 2019, is a solemn tribute to the Indian armed forces' valor and sacrifice. Located near India Gate, it comprises four concentric circles symbolizing the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the support services. The central obelisk, Amar Chakra, signifies the immortality of the soldiers' spirit. Walls of Valour bear the names of over 25,000 martyrs, evoking profound respect and remembrance.

The Veerta Chakra honors gallantry awardees. The Tyag Chakra features a eternal flame, symbolizing the sacrifice of the soldiers. A museum and a memorial garden further enrich the site's significance.
