The Regional Science and Planetarium serves as a beacon for scientific enthusiasts and curious minds, especially in the Malabar region.  It was inaugurated in 1997 by Shri (Late) E. K. Nayanar, the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, making it a definite addition to your Calicut tour package. It is spread across 15000 square feet, and offers a captivating journey of the universe, with both indoor and outdoor activities and exhibits.

The planetarium is a state-of-the-art facility, hosting around 1,200 shows annually, showcasing technological excellence. The advanced projection system from Carl Zeiss, Germany, lights up the entire dome with the gripping show of stars, planets, and celestial phenomena.

The science centre is equally fascinating for science lovers as the planetarium. The interactive exhibits spark curiosity and wonderment. Moreover, the mobile and travelling science exhibitions bring science to life, making it a must-visit place.
