Galtaji is an old Hindu pilgrimage temple filled with history, spirituality and natural beauty. Also known as the Monkey Temple, it is set in the stunning Aravalli Hills. The main temple in Galtaji is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is made of pink sandstone and looks more like a grand palace than a regular temple. Inside the temple, the walls are decorated with intricate carvings and paintings. There are also temples dedicated to Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.
One of the highlights of Galtaji is its natural water, known as kunds. There are seven holy water tanks in the temple, with Galta Kund being the most sacred one. It is believed that the water from this tank never dries up. The water flows from a rock which is shaped like the head of a cow, known as Gaumukh, into these tanks. Many devotees take a dip in these sacred waters as they purify the soul.
