Gupt Godavari Caves

Out of all the amazing places to visit in Chitrakoot, Gupt Godavari Caves hold an exceptional level of prominence among Hinduism. There are a number of myths pertaining to the caves, the major one among them is that Lord Rama and Lord Lakshman held court in this cave during their exile.

The cave houses intricately carved a sculpture of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva at its entrance. This spot is frequented by pilgrims due to their religious significance.

The source of the water inside the caves remains unfathomable, making it an interesting site for tourists too.

Entry fee: There are no charges to visit the caves.
