Overview

Thekkady in Kerala is easily a place that was created to win hearts of all nature lovers. This camping experience in the middle of Periyar Tiger Reserve will bring you some of the most amazing experiences of living in the forest. 

Factual Information:
Situated in the Cardamom Hills and Pandalam Hills, this campsite provides tented accommodations for 30 persons at a time with a board room facility for projection, film shows, trekking in the forest, and a chance to experience the traditional tribal food prepared by the Urali tribe. The site is located at the river viewpoint on the banks of Periyar River at Vallakadavu where visitors get an opportunity to camp outdoors in the breathtaking surroundings of the jungles. 

Stay:
Stay in comfortable tents in the middle of the forest on a double sharing basis.

Activity:
The major activity of this experience is the safari to Gavi village. You will get to interact with the local tribe here. Also included in the package are the Wildlife film shows, Bird watching, and trekking in the jungle. Also, you can choose to experience boating in the nearby river after checking out, which will be complimentary with the package.

Thekkady is about 4 km from Kumili in Idukki district, central Kerala and is well connected by road from all the major towns of Kerala.
