Best Beach in Sentosa

If you thought Sentosa was just about fancy resorts and thrilling attractions, wait till you meet its beaches! This little island paradise in Singapore comes with not one, but three very different Sentosa beach personalities: Siloso, Palawan, and Tanjong. Think of them as beach siblings, each with their own quirks.

Siloso is the lively one, always buzzing with energy. It’s perfect for those who enjoy beach sports, exciting activities like bungee jumping, or simply want to sip a drink at a beachfront bar with music in the background. Palawan is the playful and family-friendly sibling. With gentle waters, a fun pirate-themed zone, and a suspension bridge that leads to the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia, it’s ideal for kids and curious explorers alike. Then there’s Tanjong, the laid-back dreamer. This Sentosa beach is all about calm waves, quiet corners, and relaxing under the sun with a good book or cocktail.

Planning a Singapore trip? The best part is, you don’t have to pick just one beach. All three beaches in Sentosa are connected by a free tram, so you can beach-hop your way through a day of fun, relaxation, and stunning coastal vibes. Ready to find your beach vibe? Dive into the beaches in Sentosa and let the island show you just how sunny life can be!

Siloso Beach

If you are looking for action, Siloso Beach is the best beach in Sentosa for outdoor fun and adventure. This beach attracts thrill-seekers and party-goers due to its lively atmosphere.
  • You can try bungee jumping or ride the MegaZip at AJ Hackett Sentosa if you are up for some adventure.
  • Kayaking, paddleboarding, and skimboarding are common water sports on this beach.
  • Ola Beach Club offers jet pack rides and a Hawaiian-themed setup with food and drinks.
  • The beach also features beach volleyball courts and casual cycling paths.
  • In the evening, bars like Rumours and Tipsy Unicorn keep the energy up with music and drinks.
Siloso is a favourite due to its vibrancy, accessibility, and abundance of activities. If you want beach activities, water sports, and a wide variety of dining options without venturing too far from the city, this is a good choice.

02

Palawan Beach

Palawan Beach is often seen as the most family-friendly Sentosa beach, thanks to its calm waters and open play areas. It suits both kids and adults who want a slower pace without missing out on fun.
  • The Southernmost Point of Continental Asia is accessible via a short suspension bridge.
  • The Palawan Pirate Ship and HydroDash water park are good picks for young kids.
  • There are picnic spots, shaded zones, and flat walking paths all around.
  • The water is shallow and safe for casual swims.
Dining is easy and relaxed with several cafes and beachfront food options. Splash Tribe caters to families, while +Twelve offers a quiet setup for adults. Outdoor seats and food trucks are also available to you. Palawan Beach has everything you need: a place to relax, a secure environment, and plenty of room for the kids to run around and play.
03

Tanjong Beach

Tanjong Beach is the quietest of the three and often considered the best beach in Sentosa for couples or anyone needing a break from crowds. Its serene atmosphere, curved coastline, and clean, open space set it apart.
  • The beach is a nice spot for sunbathing, reading, or just taking a quiet walk by the sea.
  • Weekdays are usually less crowded, so it feels more peaceful and private.
  • Paddleboarding and light swimming are common, especially in the calm lagoon.
  • Tanjong Beach Club is the main highlight, serving meals and cocktails all day.
The Tanjong beach shifts character on weekends, becoming a hotspot for social events and beach parties at the club. But even with the buzz, it manages to retain its relaxed tone. Tanjong is your go-to if you want good food, a quiet beach, and just enough space to switch off.

Sentosa Beach Shuttle & How to Get There

Getting around Sentosa Island is a breeze, particularly if you're looking to explore multiple beaches. The shuttle operates in a loop and runs daily from 09:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. On Saturdays, the service extends until 11:30 p.m. The entire loop takes about 20 minutes, with buses arriving every 10 to 15 minutes. You will find signs at every stop, and most of them are close to major attractions, cafés, and rest areas. The shuttle is also wheelchair-friendly, making it accessible for everyone.

Best Time to Visit + Must-Know Tips

From December to March, Sentosa beaches are at their best. Due to sunshine, low rainfall, and mild humidity, these months are ideal for swimming, beach sports, and outdoor dining. You will also find fewer sudden weather disruptions during this period, which helps if you are planning a full day out.

Tips to Make the Most of Your Visit:
  • Visit during the week to avoid crowds, particularly in the morning.
  • Use the free Beach Shuttle to move easily between Siloso, Palawan, and Tanjong.
  • Drink water on a regular basis, as it becomes humid around the afternoon.
  • Arrive early if you want a good spot near the clubs or shaded areas.
  • Only swim in marked zones where lifeguards are present.
  • Check the local weather forecast before heading out.
  • Carry sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from UV rays.

"We checked a lot of sites for booking of universal studios tickets but we got the best deal on Thrillophilia. We had booked the tickets 10 days prior to reaching singapore and we received the email from the thrillophilia team within 24 hours. Our entry in the universal studios was hassle free and it is very clearly mentioned as in where to scan the tickets. So if you're booking the attractions on your own for Singapore, without a doubt you can go for thrillophilia as per my experience."

I booked a cruise tour to Singapore. I went there with my friends to experience something exceptional for our vacation. We had very few days in our hands to strategize our trip and to maximise the trip in best way possible, so it was best to go with thrillophilia. Looking for more.
We visited Singapore and Malaysia from Bangalore. It was fun and exciting knowing their culture. We also visited many tourist attractions. Looking forward for more.
We booked our tour from Delhi to Singapore to Malaysia. I must say it was a different experience as we covered two different foreign lands in a single trip. It was very captivating for us to know two different cultures and traditions. It was a complete family trip as a whole.
