Rawa Island is known for its amazing coral reefs, which makes it a sought-after scuba diving destination. It was a lesser-explored beach in the earlier years; however, due to heavy word of mouth advertising, people from all over Malaysia and Singapore have started visiting this place for adventure water sports activities.
Highlights – Unspoilt beauty, white sandy beaches, lively corals, clear waters and exotic marine life are some of the major features of this island. White doves (Rawa in local dialect), reptiles, sea eagles, jellyfishes, octopuses, squids, Blacktip reef sharks etc. are some species that you can spot here. The island can be reached by ferries from Mersing daily. Enjoy scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, beach volleyball, windsurfing, sailing, fishing, canoeing and sunbathing here.
Location – about half an hour’s drive from Mersing district in Johar.
Timings – April to October.
Price – No permit fee; however course fees varies based on the activities.
