Emirates National Auto Museum

Al Ain National Museum

One of the earliest among Abu Dhabi museums, Al Ain National Museum was established in 1971 with the objective to preserve the national heritage of Al Ain and other parts of UAE. The museum is located within the palace of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late founder of Dubai.

Some priceless possessions from various archaeological sites in the region, giving a good understanding of the lifestyle and culture during the Stone Age, Hellenistic and Islamic eras are put on display in the Archaeological section. Whereas, in the Ethnographical section, traditional musical instruments to household and professional objects can be seen by visitors.

Women's Handicraft Center

UAE Currency Museum

Established to mark the 40th anniversary of The Central Bank in 2013, this unique museum occupies a fairly large section of the ground floor of the bank. The museum boasts of a large collection of old coins and paper notes from the UAE and other parts of the world which have been put on display in a row of glass cases.

Manarat Al Saadiyat

Considered as one of the best Abu Dhabi Museums, the Manarat Al Saadiyat is known for its large-scale opulent installations, from artists all around the world. This high-tech museum was the first one of its kind to open its doors in the Saadiyat Cultural District in Abu Dhabi in the year 2009. Revered as an art hub for artists, both local and international, the Manarat Al Saadiyat also boasts of a stunning structure. 

The façade of the museum consists of a white honeycomb lattice that covers its exterior and looks mesmerising when it is fully illuminated at night. I enjoyed the dune bumping and sand boarding a lot and then had a chance to hangout with some majestic falcons which were almost as big as me with their wingspan. The food was fantastic and the whole evening felt surreal.
