By Air: The most popular way to reach Serengeti is by air. The National Park has seven internal airstrips of its own. Domestic flights can be availed from the Arusha Airport or the Kilimanjaro Airport into Serengeti. While the former is more popularly included in Serengeti National Park tour packages, the latter is the better option for international travellers.

By Road: The national park can also be accessed via road from Arusha. Several drive-in safaris start from this point. It takes about 8 hours to travel between the two places.

Safari-friendly clothes: While this can mean a number of things, ranging from safari shorts to Hawaiian shirts, one must keep in mind to carry only extremely comfortable cotton clothing along with them. The weather in these areas generally remains hot, and it is vital to be comfortable during your safari tour.

Binoculars: From a hot air balloon ride to a jeep safari, binoculars can never fail one while touring the African wilderness.

Medication: it is vitally important to carry all necessary medication while travelling for safari. This includes medication for nausea, digestion and migraines.
