The National Chambal Gharial Sanctuary, located near Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, is a unique wildlife destination known for its rich biodiversity and pristine river ecosystem. Established in 1979, the sanctuary is home to the critically endangered gharial, a rare species of crocodile, along with other fascinating wildlife such as mugger crocodiles, Gangetic dolphins, and over 320 species of migratory and resident birds.
