2. Abraham’s Spice Garden: Abraham’s is a privately run spice garden that is unique in its own right and one of the most interesting places to visit in Thekkady. Spread over 2 acres, the gardens offer a hands-on experience with an interactive tour that explains the cultivation and processing of various spices. Featuring a myriad of species of banana, cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, cloves, vanilla, ginger, turmeric, and old spices – the place is truly a delight for botany enthusiasts.

3. Vandiperiyar: A small town next to the Idukki district of Kerala, Vandiperiyar is known as such as the river Periyar flows through the centre of the town. 5. Ramakkalmedu: The little hamlet is situated in the Idukki district of God’s own country, Kerala and is considered as a place of religious significance by locals and tourists. Besides offering some of the best views of Thekkady hills covered with plantations of tea, cardamom, coffee, pepper, and rubber – the village also features the famous statue of Kuruvan and Kuruthi.
The 300 m high pillar is an excellent vantage point to observe the awe-inspiring and scenic natural landscape of Ramakalmedu.
