• Hisar was founded in 1354 AD by Firoz Shah Tughlaq. Ruled by the Mauryas (3rd century BC), Tughlaqs (14th century), and Mughals (16th century). It was depopulated in the 18th century before George Thomas occupied it during the British Rule (19th century).
