      • Banks in Salalah and everywhere in Oman are open from Saturdays to Thursdays.
      • While ATMs are widely available, it is advisable that you carry enough cash during your Salalah holiday.
      • The official language of Salalah is Arabic, although English is widely spoken too. Other languages used in Salalah and Oman include Baluchi, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, and Swahili.
      • The work week in Salalah and the rest of Oman is from Sunday to Thursday, while weekends mean Friday and Saturday.
      • It is illegal to take pictures of military and government establishments in Salalah and Oman, so exercise caution.

      Indian citizens can apply for two kinds of tourist visas to Oman, depending on the number of days you wish to visit. While visa 10D (26A) lets you stay for up to ten days, visa 30D (26B) allows a maximum stay of 30 days.
