Ziro

Ziro Valley, in Arunachal Pradesh, is a picturesque paradise that has long been a favorite town as a World Heritage Site. Home to the Apatani tribe, the valley is filled with lush green paddy fields. Its stretch of green grasslands form an ideal location to hold picnics or enjoy outdoor camping, especially in the hillock known as Ziro Puto.

Although most people visit Ziro just for its scenic locales, the valley also houses a number of major attractions such as the Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, Hapoli- the center of all the town’s activities, and the Siddheshwarnath Temple that contains a natural Shiva linga discovered about a decade ago.

The food in Ziro, albeit bizarre, is a must-try for adventurous souls. While its bamboo-chicken is a delicious tribal preparation, the local preparations of silkworms and rats might be an interesting option to try.

One of the most interesting things to do in the valley would perhaps be to attend the Ziro music festival, an outdoor music festival held in the Ziro Valley. It is one of the most eco-friendly music festivals in the band, with a strict zero-plastic policy and stages made entirely of bamboo. The four-day festival brings together performers both of national and international repute.

Ziro is not directly connected by air or rail but must be reached through neighboring towns and cities, such as Guwahati. The best time to visit Ziro is during the summer months when the weather remains pleasantly cool. For those interested in attending the music festival, however, September is the month to visit.

I find it extremely hard to summarize our Arunachal tour as it was both fun and thrilling. We were picked up from the Airport at Guwahati by a representative and were taken to a plush hotel. I still get so excited thinking about the scenic views and the hued sunsets that I got to witness both at Assam and Arunachal. The trip was well-curated by Thrillophilia and they took commendable care of our food and stays. I am glad to have visited everything from tea gardens in Assam to major attractions like Sela Pass and Tawang monastery in Arunachal.

I and my partner planned for an adventurous honeymoon trip and went ahead with our Arunachal plan. I do not know what makes this destination so less hyped among the tourists because we had the most wonderful tour. A big part of the credit goes to Thrillophilia for arranging the tour so nicely and covering maximum spots in just 7 days. The stay at the exotic wildlife camp near the Airport and spending a night amidst nature in the dark was surreal. My partner is always looking for some thrill and this tour was every bit thrilling. We witnessed wildlife in their natural setting, visited the Bomdila Monastery, and visited the Jaswant Garh. I am a picky eater but I thank Thrillophilia to have arranged good hotels that serve clean and delicious meals. We recommend Thrillophilia for always ensuring wonderful hospitality during the entire trip and for arranging the best activities.

I have visited Arunachal Pradesh before but this time I was going there with my four friends. We had a fascinating travel experience visiting the wildlife sanctuaries, monasteries, and the lakes in Arunachal. Our tour package was inclusive of the restricted area permit and we absolutely love how our tour guide made our journey a memorable one. We set out for nature walks in the Nameri National Park, visited the apple gardens, the hot water springs and Sela Pass. We were served healthy breakfasts at the hotel and unleashed our tiredness with a helicopter ride. The memories of our stay in an eco-camp at Guwahati will always be on our minds. Totally recommend Thrillophilia for arranging a power-packed tour during corona times and making reservations in hygienic hotels.
25 February 2021
Superb
It was a last-minute decision to explore the northeast and luckily we found Thrillophilia. Had a whale of a time, riding our motorbikes at 3500 meters and having connected to nature. Exploring the Tawang Monastery, examining the historic buildings, and gazing upon ancient scriptures, all on our 11-day tour is unbelievable. I would like to give credit where it’s due and thank Thrillophilia to have made stunning arrangements at camps. Absolutely love how I could feast upon delicious vegetarian dinners at such remote locations. If you are a confident rider and have a valid motorcycle operator license, I suggest you take up this tour. The snowy paths, a reflection of the snow-capped mountains on the bike’s mirror, and sipping on butter tea, at one of the stalls, will always remain dear to my heart.

Experiencing North East India’s unparalleled beauty was always on my mind but I had my quirks. I did not want the usual air travel or train travel so I signed up for a Motorcycle tour of the Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh with Thrillophilia. And, boy! Was I impressed? Hell Yes, My friend and I bagged their exclusive tour and went on to explore the historic buildings of Tawang, rode along the snow-coated mountainous paths, shimmering lakes and interacted with the Monpa tribes. A big shout out to Thrillophilia for fine arrangements like comfy tents to spend the night and delicious meals!

We had the most remarkable tour with Thrillophilia. Not only was everything perfect but in every instance we felt that we are being taken good care of. I had bought a 10 days 9 nights package from Thrillophilia at a steal price for a family tour. The four of us had an overnight stay at a Guwahati hotel and set out for Tezpur/Bhalukpong after a heart breakfast in the morning. Seated in an air-conditioned vehicle we set out to explore the Tipi Orchidarium, Nag temple and relished piping hot momos and coffee during our trip. I was amazed at how I could soak in the beauty of the Nuranng Fall and visit the Kalachakra and Dirang monasteries on the same day. If you are planning for a trip to Arunachal and are seeking a wildlife experience, I totally recommend Thrillophilia.
